JOB SUMMARY:

Admissions Coordinators play a crucial role in the organization by being the first point of contact for individuals seeking help and support for substance abuse issues. As an empathetic and knowledgeable professional, you will be responsible for providing information, guidance, and assistance to potential clients and their families throughout the admissions process. Your dedication to helping those in need will contribute to the overall mission of our organization, which is to provide comprehensive care and treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answer Inquiries: Respond to inquiries from individuals seeking help, family members, and other professionals via phone, email, or in-person meetings. Provide clear and accurate information in a supportive manner.
  • Provide Information and Education: Offer comprehensive information about the facility’s treatment programs, services, and policies to potential clients, families, and referring professionals. Educate them about the treatment options available and the recovery process.
  • Conduct Initial Assessments: Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments of potential clients to determine their eligibility and appropriateness for admission to our treatment programs.
  • Facilitate Admissions Process: Guide clients and their families through the admissions process, including verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary paperwork, and coordinating transportation to the facility if required.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines regarding the handling of client information.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with potential clients and their families, documenting their inquiries, assessments, and progress throughout the admissions process.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals and their families who may be facing urgent or difficult situations related to substance abuse issues.
  • Follow-up Support: Offer ongoing support to individuals who may have postponed or declined treatment, providing encouragement and resources for seeking help in the future.

Salary

  • $35,000 per year 
  • Performance-based bonus structure 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a substance abuse treatment facility.
  • Comprehensive understanding of substance abuse disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and managing the admissions process efficiently.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes and related documentation is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle crisis situations, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Non-judgmental and open-minded approach to working with diverse populations.
